Josie Byer began rowing in high school on the Great Salt Lake with Rowland Hall St. Mark's school and Utah Crew. She rowed in sweep fours and eights and helped with training the novice girl's team when she was a senior. Josie now enjoys rowing and competing in single and double sculling boats. She is an active member of the Great Salt Lake Rowing board of trustees. Her role for the board is head of coaching and she is also the Safety Officer for the club. As well as coaching for Great Salt Lake Rowing, she is also a coach for Utah Junior Crew, a team of high school rowers from the Salt Lake valley. Josie loves to teach sculling, especially on the magnificent Great Salt Lake. Josie will be teaching beginner group lessons and private lessons. Please call or email her for lessons.
